Mission

We will provide information management scholars and practitioners with a single entry point to resources related to information systems technology and promote the development of an international information infrastructure that will dramatically improve the world's ability to use information systems for creating, disseminating, and applying knowledge. Below are our objectives and an overview of our target community.

Community

Although we welcome participation from members of related communities, our core population are information systems researchers and educators working in colleges and universities throughout the world. We believe that our worldwide community consists of approximately 5,000 of whom many are accessible through our faculty directory. Approximately 2,500 of them also monitor ISWorld, our discussion list.

  Providing common goals, structure and tools, while leaving implementation in the hands of individuals or institutions.
