- Baker College Online, Center for Graduate Studeis: Flint, MI (USA). offers a totally online degree program leading to the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS). The program was modeled after the Joint ACM-AIS task force curriculum recommendations for a MSIS degree program. All courses, both IS and non-IS, were designed from the ground up for this program. The program emphasizes information systems theory and its application to business opportunities and challenges. Additionally, the program addresses mission critical issues, such as, strategic planning, risk management, financial consideration, project management and quality assurance. Applicants should have three years work experience in information systems. Typical professional experience may include the responsibility for managing the development, acquisition, implementation, or operation of information systems in any variety of organizational settings.

The development track assumes no prior background in information systems; the security track requires prior background in information systems or computer science. The MBA is designed for students with an undergraduate major in information systems or computer science. We also offer a joint MBA/MSIS (both tracks). The MSIS is a 36-hour program, the MBA-ISM is a 53-hour program, and the joint MBA/MSIS requires 68 hours. Those with no prior academic work in business have an additional 12 hours required for any of these degree programs.

- California State University, Los Angeles, College of Business and Economics: Los Angeles, CA (USA). Offers an MSIS Degree for experienced IS/IT professionals, as well as IS Options in our MBA and MS in Accounting Degrees. CSLA's business school is AACSB accredited and is located five miles east of downtown Los Angeles. The IS graduate programs include over a hundred students, many from overseas.

- Cape Town, University of, Faculty of Commerce: Cape Town, Cape Town (South Africa). Offers an innovative taught doctoral program focusing on "Information Systems and National Development." This concerns the creation, evaluation, acquisition, improvement, and use of information systems intended and/or appropriate for social, economic, political, cultural and human resource development. Emphasis is on so-called "developing societies." The program combines a traditional North American model (courses, qualifying examination, dissertation) with European and African teaching modalities including practical field work, teaching, international visitation, and projects. Students with backgrounds in social sciences, education, information systems, engineering, computer science and related fields are urged to apply. The Master of Information Systems Management Program (MISM) is offered jointly by the School of Computer Science, the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management, and the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. The program provides high-quality training in both technology and management. Graduates have the skills to lead people and strategically employ technology to propel their organizations forward. The MISM curriculum combines substantive depth, through specializations in medical informatics, e-commerce, information security management, and strategic information processing, with a broad-based technical knowledge of databases, software development, applications, and organizational management. In addition, the curriculum focuses on hands-on and team-based training, which is emphasized in the required information systems project. The MISM program requires students to fulfill 180 course units (fifteen classes), which include seven courses in information systems, four courses in management, and elective and concentration options. The MISM program can be completed in twelve months (three semesters) of full-time study. Although an information systems background is preferred, talented students with limited technological backgrounds have been successful in this program.

- Charles Sturt University, School of Information Studies: New South Wales, New South Wales (Australia). The Master of Information Technology (MIT) is a Masters degree in IT. - Eastern Michigan University, College of Business: Ypsilanti, MI (USA). Offers Master's of Science in Information Systems; MBA with specialization in Management Information Systems. Students with undergraduate degree in Business or Computer Information Systems can waive some foundation courses. Most of the classes are evening classes that fit the schedules of working professionals. Oracle and SAP software are in use in the programs. Our program is one of the largest programs with 250 graduate students and 12 full-time Ph.D. faculty.

- Indiana University, Kelley Scholl of Business: Bloomington, IN (USA). The Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program at Indiana University is an 18-month 30 to 36 credit hour, full time graduate degree program for qualified candidates with a bachelors degree (U.S. equivalent) in any academic discipline, preferably CS or CIS/MIS. The FIS program consists of a set of Core Courses, a number of Required Courses pertaining to each specialization, and a large number of Elective Courses in areas such as Resources and Collections, Information Storage and Retrieval, Technology of Information Systems, Social and Historical Contexts of Information, and Organization of Information Services. FIS also offers a PhD program that attracts students from across Canada and from the international information community, drawn by our excellent research facilities. The program provides opportunities for advanced scholarly research into the theoretical bases and practical application of knowledge from information studies.
